The app

These terms apply together with the terms of the store you downloaded the app from. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, The Kids App is licensed to you under Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps. On Android, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.

The free version

The app is free to download, and all the content is open. In the free version, a countdown interrupts play at intervals that get shorter over time (from three minutes down to 30 seconds) and shows a parent check that leads to the purchase options.

What you can buy

Day pass: removes the interruptions for 24 hours from purchase, then ends by itself. It isn’t a subscription. It’s stored on the device you bought it on, so it can’t be moved to another device or restored after the app is deleted. Monthly and One year: subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Forever: a one-off purchase that doesn’t renew and removes the interruptions for as long as The Kids App is available in the store you bought it from. The App Store or Google Play shows the price in your currency before you pay.

Payment and cancelling

Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Account when you confirm the purchase. On the App Store, subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before it ends. On Google Play, cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account subscription settings or under Subscriptions on Google Play, and you keep access until the period ends. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Refunds

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play purchases can be refunded through Google Play, or by us—email mail@simengjermundsen.com.

The content

The videos, photos, sounds and icons in the app are licensed for use in the app. You may not copy them out of the app or use them elsewhere.

These terms may be updated, and the latest version is always on this page. Questions: mail@simengjermundsen.com. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Nothing in them limits your rights under the consumer law of the country where you live.
